Riga local Private Post - 2nd half of the 19th century - special folded stationery w/printed notation at bottom in Hebrew "Secured letter in the hands of a loyal messenger" & at top left is imprinted a Star of David in the center the word "Messenger" & in the 6 pointed corners the Hebrew letters 3x"Hei" & 3x"Caf", the Star of David is cancelled by a double circle handstamp in Hebrew reading: "For Delivery - Prutot" & "Hei (5) "כפכ"(Kop), addressed locally in Riga to Rabbi Sabalski, on back a Red wax seal ; scattered spots, fine & Rare

JEWISH LABELS: VENEZUELA PAQUETE SHIP POST 1869 of  A. J. Jesurun & Zoon, Curacao, small collection of  29 stps (5 used), 1 cv & 3 full sheets of 100 stps each, incl: 14 stps of  ½  Real Green (Medio Real) 2 used (Michel 1A & D), 15 stps of  2 Real Red (Dos Reales) 3 used (Michel 2A & D); 1 cv from St Thomas to Curacao franked ½ Real stp w/G.W. Smith & Co oval cachet; 1 sheet of 100 stps of  ½  Real Green perf 12½, 1 sheet of 100 stps of  ½  Real Green perf 10, & 1 sheet of 100 stps of  2  Reals Red perf 12½.  The large Jewish firm of J.A. Jesurun (Jacob Abraham Jesurun) based in Curacao owned 100 sailing ships plying the routes between the Caribbean Islands and between these and Savannah, Georgia, Charleston, South Carolina and New Orleans, Louisiana in the 19th century; stps generally mint, sheets w/few separations & toning , fine & scarce, (Mi over 12.500), the book "The Private Ship Letter Stamps of the World - Part 1 - The Caribbean" is attached
