MUSEE DES HORREURS (Gallery of Horrors) 1899/1900 by V. Lenepveu, Paris (Leon Hayard) - 50 lithographic posters from a series of 51, missing only #51, 50½x65.0cm, unframed. A series of very provocative color lithographs is an example of the poisonous reaction to the Dreyfus Affair. The publisher L. Hayard distributed a large amount of anti-Dreyfus material incl. posters & pamphlets. Images show Dreyfus, E. Zola, Rothschilds, Zadoc-Kahn, G. Labori,
G. Picqart, Clemeceau, etc. showing figures in the pro-Dreyfus camp as disgusting half-animal creatures and showing members of the anti-Dreyfus camp as patriots and heroes. The publication was stopped by the police after issue #51; condition is fine - very fine (x50) light marginal faults as expected, lithos not stained or torn, a historic & interesting set

NORDAU MAX - 1908 final draft for his speech at a Paris conference introducing the next speaker Mr Victor Basch who was one of the first and a famous Dreyfusard. Nordau tells that he himself was in Rennes at the period of the 2nd Dreyfus Process 1899 and describes in detail V. Basch's brave conduct against the rising Anti-Semitic crowds... written 1½ pages in French on "Docteur M. Nordau" Paris stationery; folded, fine & historic as Nordau docs relating to the Anti-Semitism of the period are seldom offered. He, like Herzl, was deeply influenced by the Dreyfus Trials,
