1943 Camp to Camp Relatives Search: In 9/1943 the young Paul Bundheim (born 1926 in Hamburg) refugee in the Swiss internment Camp Bourrignon was looking for his parents. He sent registered postcards addressed to E.L. Bundheim, w/full messages in German to various German Camps in hope to locate them. All were returned. He kept Advice of Delivery forms from each mailing. Attached a handwritten list of the known Camps

 

(x 20) to the writer at that time. Offered here 6 regist pcs from Camp Bourrignon to Camps: Auschwitz, Birkenau, Monowitz, Jawischowitz, Mechtal & Bleckhauwitz each w/it's Advice of Delivery form. All cards censored, Zuruck (Return) cachets & 5 have town postal pmks. Also enclosed: Paul's 1943 Swiss Camp ID, 1947 Belgian Foreigner ID & 1947 Palestine ID - all these w/his photos; f - vf (x12 cards & 4 docs), a most unusual offer

RAOUL WALLENBERG - Schutz-Pass for Jew Wilhelm Bialazurker, Budapest, 24 August 1944, by the Swedish Embassy, signed by Ambassador Ivan Danielsson with 2 cachets of the Embassy, 1 page 21x33cm in German & Hungarian, Blue & Gold, personal information & signature of bearer and place where his photo would have been affixed, signed initials RW (Raoul Wallenberg) on front of left bottom. These official looking Swedish passports granted the Hungarian bearer immunity from deportation, offered w/few docs & letters of the Bialazurker family in 1949 to Wien & 1950 to Tel Aviv in Hungarian; folded, minor peripheral faults, fine & a Very Rare  doc.  For rescuing tens of thousands of Jews, Wallenberg & Danielsson were awarded the Righteous Among the Nations Medal by Israel.

Rabbi Robert Dreyfus - French Rabbi, Chief Rabbi of Bruxelles 1948 - 1953, later Chief Rabbi of Belgium - 380 items, over 300 POW cards & letter-sheets from 1940 - 1945, when he was a prisoner in Germany, mostly to him 6/1940 - 12/1944 in the various Stalags he was imprisoned, by his wife Gaby, other family members & followers. Also dozens of letters sent to him 1940 - 1947 & to other family members. Also attached a booklet w/dated detailed contents of each packet sent to him 4/1942 - 7/1944; fine (x380) amazing archive, valuable for research

Vilna  x2 - 21 & 26 June 1941, to Siauliai 21 June & to Marijampole 13 June. All pcs have Zuruck (Return to Sender) hnstps – 2 have Zuruck Postsperre (Post Stopping) as the Nazis invaded these regions, ruled by Russia, on the 22 June 1941 & Postal Relations were disconnected. 1 pc w/typed label in German: ... no postal relations; vf (x4) Historic group
