Taxed in Jerus 2x6m (2x #D15) 3rd P. Dues on 5 AU 41 but as the Red Cross refused to pay the tax - large boxed cachet on back the cv was Returned to TLV arrival 8 AU 41, the tax of 12m paid by the original sender 5+7m (#93 & 105) PICTORIALS (not P. Dues) on face tied by TLV pmk 11 AU 41. "Jerusalem" + 2 arrows marking remailing in Violet pencil on face + same pencil crossing out the RETURN TO cachet on back & the 2 boxed cachets: TO PAY...; expertly restored by a museum restorator, fine most unusual EXHIBITION SHOWPIECE, as per the regulations the sender was liable for any charges made upon a posted item (unpaid or underpaid) incl. when the addressee refused to pay the charges.
