5/1948 cv from Haifa franked 10m Minhelet Ha'am stp (Ba #23) cancelled by HAIFA 16.5.1948 FD of Israeli trilingual pmk, mailed to a Palmach soldier in the Har'el Brigade Haportzim  Battalion in Kibbutz Ma'aleh Ha'hamisha Pfeferman House, near Jerusalem. Attached is a handwritten notation in Hebrew dated 13.6.98, made by Eliyahu Sela (Ra'anana) Harel Brigade's operations branch officer at that time in Ma'aleh Ha'hamisha confirming that mail to the Battalion was dropped from military airplanes; vf & Extremely Rare, certif.
