Besieged Gush Etzion - Flown Courier cover from the Gush - return address: "Uriel Ofek  Massuot Yitzhak, Gush Etzion" under siege as of January 1948, the air strip was in service as of  February 7, 1948 . The Gush surrendered to the Jordanian Legion on 13 May 1948. Cover addressed to Moshe Mosinsohn "Be'Ma'aleh" editor in Tel Aviv, on back a hand written note by the sender: "5 V - I returned safely from the battle, regards, Uri Cohen reached Tel Aviv, Uriel". The cv was received by permission of the Gush Etzion Archives, their cachet on back; roughly opened at top right resulting in uneven top, center fold typical to courier letters, fine & Rare, certif Tsachor-Aloni
